  1. Love these! Been making them for the last two years. Not only do I have them in my personal cookbook but I have them bookmarked online so I can easily find them. My mom has used this same recipe for her cherry squares forever, I have eaten them many times over my 46 years, but Mom uses a jelly roll pan, spreads all the dough at once and divides the pan equally into twenty four squares with a knife prior to baking. She carefully places three cherries from a can of filling and some of the actually 'jelly' from the can and bakes for 30 mins. They come out beautifully. TOO much fuss for me so when I saw this recipe, realized it was the same, I tried them. I found this way of baking them is perfect! Fast, easy, no fuss! Thank you.
